Bankruptcy Attorney in Pasadena
If you are behind on your credit cards, mortgage, car loans and medical bills, you may be eligible to file Chapter 13. If you know you will not have the means to regain control of your financial situation within five years, you're credit will become terminally unhealthy. By filing Chapter 13 with an experienced bankruptcy attorney you can restructure your debt under a plan approved by the court.

How it Works
You will undergo a "means test," set by IRS regulations to determine what is reasonable for you to pay for living expenses, including housing and food over and above what you have available to pay your debts.
I will design a payment plan extending up to five years, including payment of priority claims such as taxes.
The court-appointed trustee will review the proposed plan and manage the distribution of your funds to the creditors according to the plan.
When the plan is complete, your unpaid debts are "discharged."
What Are the Advantages of Filing Chapter 13?
Creditor harassment stops — When you declare bankruptcy, you receive a bankruptcy "stay," which makes harassing letters and calls from creditors stop.
Saves you money — Depending on your debt situation, Chapter 13 can save you hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars in penalties, high interest rates, some taxes, possibly association fees and other expenses.
Retain your assets — You can eliminate some of your unsecured debt by filing Chapter 13. For instance, if you own a home or car that is paid in full or has significant equity, you may be able to keep your hard earned assets when you stay on plan.
Offers hope for the future — When you complete your repayment plan, you will emerge debt free and current on your house and car.
